As an Executive Assistant, you’ll be the person who makes their complicated lives, less so. At NPL, we touch ordinary lives in extraordinary ways and you could too. 

As the leaders of our business, our Exec Team have many demands on their time. As you gain a thorough understanding of the operation and their needs, you’ll deliver the kind of personal and administrative assistance that allows them to perform at their best. Forging a close relationship with the director you’re working with is essential. It will allow you to interpret and anticipate priorities, run their calendar, set up systems to suit their objectives and facilitate prompt decision-making. Liaising with people internally and externally at all levels to co-ordinate activity on behalf of your director will be the norm. As will preparing presentations, carrying out research, compiling management information and summarising information where needed. You work alongside other executive assistants, and take responsibility for the overall smooth-running of the office as a team. Nothing is too much effort. Everything is delivered to the highest standards, on time. 

We are now working in a hybrid way, with a mix of remote and office working and  strive to offer a great work life balance.
About You
You have significant experience of handling exec-level director’s affairs. Able to anticipate needs, take the initiative and make sound judgement calls, you’re incredibly organised, calm, discreet, and diplomatic tooAlong with excellent IT and communication skills, you’re always willing to go the extra distance to deliver. Beyond that, we’re looking for someone who’ll thrive in an environment like ours. At NPL we learn from each other, respect each other and work together to do better. For ourselves and for our customers. And whilst we’re always looking to stretch beyond what we know, we don’t make things more complicated when there’s no need
