As our Payroll Adviser, you’ll see their efforts won’t go unnoticed, by making sure they always get paid on time. At NPL, we touch ordinary lives in extraordinary ways and you could too.
Our people are very committed to their work. So, in turn, we’re committed to them. Offering specialist advice and guidance, you’ll respond to all payroll related enquiries swiftly and efficiently – always checking that all legal and statutory requirements are met at every stage. To ensure everyone is paid as they should be, you will keep our systems up-to-date, delivering files to external suppliers so that BACS runs are completed on time, every time. You’ll also administer the payroll scheme, briefing all new starters when they join so that they fully understand the scheme. In addition, you will produce a number of management reports that help line managers monitor the performance of their team. And, when needed, you’ll carry out ad-hoc payroll projects.
We are now working in a hybrid way, with a mix of remote and office working. About You
Payroll is vital to employees' engagement and satisfaction. This role will manage the performance and potential of the payroll team and will be critical in providing specialist payroll support to the ERP system integration. Previous managerial experience and knowledge of ResourceLink payroll system are an advantage. As for you, you’re highly numerate, pay meticulous attention to detail, are customer-focused and have a proven record of managing payroll related projects from end to end. Beyond that, we’re looking for someone who’ll thrive in an environment like ours. At NPLwe learn from each other, respect each other and work together to do better. For ourselves and for our customers. And whilst we’re always looking to stretch beyond what we know, we don’t make things more complicated when there’s no need
