Our world-leading Laboratory is seeking a Data Scientist with experience in ‘Trustworthy Machine Learning’.
 
We are now working in a hybrid way, with a mix of remote and office working. Safety testing of autonomous vehicles
Image analysis with machine and deep learning
Uncertainty propagation in machine learning models for Earth Observation 
Quantification of trustworthiness metrics for AI applications in Healthcare
Natural Language Processing and processes optimisation
Analysis of PPG (photoplethysmography) signals
About You

As Data Scientist, you will be covering both the application of machine learning methods to specific problems, as well as general aspects of quality management, risk management, testing and assessment of machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence (AI) systems that include machine learning.

Essential experience:

  • A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or relevant science or engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of methods of machine learning and proficiency in the practical application of those methods.
  • Proficiency in a high-level language such as Python or MATLAB.
  • Working in a cross-disciplinary environment

Desirable experience:

  • Experimental data analysis
  • Uncertainty quantification.
  • Quality management or risk management for AI systems that include machine learning.
  • Testing and assessment of machine learning algorithms and AI systems that include machine learning.
  • Explainability and interpretability of machine learning methods.

This role may be basedin either Teddington or Cambridge.
