NPL is the UK`s National Measurement Institute providing the measurement expertise that underpins UK prosperity and quality of life. From unhackable quantum communications and superfast 5G to antibiotic alternatives and more effective cancer diagnosis/treatments; technological advances must be built on a foundation of reliable measurement to succeed. NPL`s friendly and dynamic HR team support and recruit across all areas of the business and at all levels i.e. apprentices, scientists and all operational and functional roles as well at joint appointments. Recruitment and resourcing are critical and we work closely with our HR colleagues and the external market place to make sure that we have the right people, with the right skills, in the right locations to deliver our vision. We are in a period of growth and are looking for an In House Recruitment Resourcer, to focus on the candidate attraction and management part of the recruitment process.  

About You
We are searching for an experienced resourcer on a 7 month FTC, we’re open as to whether you come from an in-house or agency environment. As long as you’re used to adopting a partnership approach, are 100% customer-focused and determined to deliver the right person for the right role, you’ll fit in well. Great communications skills are a given, as is the ability to listen and learn. Beyond that, we’re looking for someone who’ll thrive in an environment like ours. And whilst we’re always looking to stretch beyond what we know, we don’t make things more complicated when there’s no need. Together, we’re helping make the impossible, possible.
Duties to include but no limited to
  • Direct searching via job boards, LinkedIn and headhunting

  • Resourcing and selecting candidates across a variety of functions for all roles at NPL

  • Pre-screening individuals and their CVs and creating a shortlist of candidates

  • Reviewing and posting adverts, working closely with our external media partners and our internal teams

  • Review and assess candidate applications, per role and across campaigns

  • Arranging interviews/general recruitment & team administration

  • Collating and giving feedback

  • Offer management

  • Candidate management throughout the recruitment process

Person Specification

  • Demonstrable candidate management experience

  • Experience of sourcing through Linkedin, Reed and other applications

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • ATS or CRM experience

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to use initiative and influence key stakeholders

  • Experience of in house recruitment process (within or external to)

  • Confident and collaborative and a strong team player
