About the Role

Description of role:

Responsible for the design and development of analytics and reporting within a centralised business unit. Ensure the existence of a quality capability within the organisation to embed data-driven decision making.

Areas of focus:

  • Deliver analytics, insight and reporting for the organisation through a robust centralised Business Intelligence platform.
  • Lead, develop methods and undertake analysis of NPL‘s performance for a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Standardise and productionize reporting to promote one source of truth.
  • Promote a significant self-service based reporting capability.
  • Ensure quality project KPI reporting and analysis is delivered to senior stakeholders against NPL's Key Performance Targets.
  • Lead production and presentation of data and analysis to NPL’s internal and external stakeholders in an understandable and compelling format.
  • Develop knowledge, skills and experience associated with the area of specialism and stay up to date on current and future economic impact methodologies for assessing the impact of scientific research.
  • Work with NPL colleagues to ensure governance processes are underpinned by robust data, enable impact-focused behaviours and capture impact evidence.
About You
  • Extensive experience participating in and influencing discussions on reporting requirements, visualisation and data design.
  • Extensive reporting and analytics solution experience.
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience operating within a project environment.
  • Good level of Information Technology experience.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, such as Power BI.
