About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Sales Coordinator in the Commercial Directorate of NPL.  You will be responsible for providing support to Team members in the development and delivery of tenders and bids, coordinating contributions across NPL from Science and Engineering, Legal, Finance and others. Supporting Salesforce and sales team administration, customer visits, events and regular review of tendering portals to identify NPL sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Sales Team to develop tenders and bids, ensuring contributions from across NPL are delivered in time and to the required quality. 
  • Plan and deliver allocated sales support tasks in a timely manner ensuring consistency of approach and use of appropriate business standards.
  • Provide support to the sales team in planning and organising customer visits and events.
  • Maintain and build positive and constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing them with the information required to deliver sales plans and meet business obligations.
  • Develop and administer, with the input of the sales team, search of tender portals to provide early identification of opportunities suited to NPL.
  • Develop and maintain an awareness of NPL capabilities, services and products so that suitable opportunities can be identified.
About You
  • Strong web use skills including search and use of information portals both UK and international.
  • Keen interest in commercial activities and developing new routes to finding customers.
  • Ability to manage and analyse data in CRM (Salesforce), beneficial but not essential.
  • Expediting actions with colleagues across NPL.
  • Strongly team oriented and capable of working across the NPL organisation.
  • Be organised and self-motivated to produce high quality results 
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential
  • Clear and concise writing style
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills 
  • Strong attention to detail
