About You

With a science-related degree, you have a solid background in research, able to work alone as well as part of a team.

You need to have experience of planning and delivering tried and tested research methods, as well as having the potential to explore new ideas yourself. Beyond that, we’re looking for someone who’ll thrive in an environment like ours.

 The successful candidate will work in the Nuclear Metrology group's expanding measurement services team, supporting the production of radionuclide standards using techniques such as liquid scintillation counting, Ion Chamber and high-resolution gamma spectrometery. 

 For this position we look for candidates with:

  • Degree in Physics or related discipline, 
  •  Strong scientific and mathematical skills, 
  • Excellent quality focus with understanding of ISO 17025 being an advantage
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse and dynamic team
