About You

We are looking for a self-motivated research emissions scientist who has an interest to develop a career in the environmental monitoring area especially within the industrial emissions aspect.

Desired skills and experience

  • Ideally the candidate should have a background in Chemistry, Physics, or another relevant discipline
  • A solid background in research
  • Training will be provided, but you will need to have a willingness to learn and develop
  • A full driving license is required
  • You will be a good team player with a positive attitude
  • You will need to enjoy working outdoors and specifically at heights
  • Experience of planning and delivering tried and tested research methods with the potential to explore new ideas yourself and as part of a team
  • Previous experience of working and developing customer relationships

 Example Responsibilities

  • Support the Team Leader during on-site sampling and monitoring activities
  • Accessing monitoring locations and setting up equipment
  • Operation of sampling and test equipment to measure emission levels
  • Collation of site information relating to the monitoring and corresponding process activities
  • Interaction and communication with customer contacts, regulators, etc
  • Adherence to company and client quality and health and safety protocols
  • Working with the laboratory manager to, prepare sampling media, and repair, calibrate /maintain test equipment.
  • Handling and shipment of samples to laboratories
