About the Role

Description of role:

A member of the Technical Delivery team, this role is responsible for successful delivery of IT System Integration requirements for small scale projects. Acts as prime technical interface accountable for the IT delivery of the project from initiation through development to closure.

Areas of focus:

  • Prime interface for Project Lead across IT development and support activities relating to small scale project delivery.

  • Ensure project management methodology alignment and technology related deliverables are tracked and delivered to time, cost and quality.

  • Where required, responsible for ensuring the delivery and integration of medium scale component of a wider programme or larger project.

  • Implement appropriate technologies to meet technical requirements.

  • A key member of virtual IT project teams, coordinating all technology deliverables to ensure new solutions are delivered effectively.

  • Ensure production deployments meet business readiness criteria and transition into appropriate NPL IT support frameworks.

  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure technology delivery can be utilised to deliver benefit to the business.

  • Support project Technical Leads to enable successful delivery of the wider NPL transformation programme.

This is a 2 year FTC

About You

Skills and Background/Experience required:

  • Proven delivery management experience of small to medium scale IT projects with subject matter expertise in lab management software applications like LIMS / ELN and other laboratory automation applications OR business applications (ideally MS Dynamics).
  • Experience with procurement & management of 3rd party vendors and experience in implementing COTS packages.
  • An understanding of cyber security principles.
  • Experienced at project planning, resource allocation and prioritization for technical delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
