  • Security Testing Specialist – Dive Deep. Think Differently. Build Secure Systems.

    What You’ll Be Doing 
     
     You’ll play a hands-on role in security testing across hardware, software, and telecoms specific technologies.
    Your work will include: 
    • Conducting security testing on hardware and software to uncover vulnerabilities in complex systems. 
    • Applying positive and negative testing techniques to stress-test network functions and protocols. 
    • Scripting and automating assessments to improve efficiency and repeatability. Freeing up your time to do interesting work. 
    • Investigating, analysing, and clearly communicating technical findings and risks. 
    • Contributing to high quality, actionable technical reports. 

    Successful Applicants must be able to commute to the UKTL offices in Birmingham at least twice a week

  • You’ll thrive here if you: 
    •  Have a background in infrastructure, networking, or software development and hands on penetration testing experience (this is not an entry level role). 
    • Enjoy deep technical problem solving and working in complex environments.

     What You’ll Learn 

    You’ll bring strong experience — and we’ll help you go further. 
    Whether you already know telecoms protocols such as Diameter, HTTP/2, SCTP, and NGAP, or you show clear aptitude to learn them, we’ll invest in your development. 
    You’ll have access to leading training platforms, including: 
    • Offensive Security Learn Unlimited (with exam attempts included) 
    • Hack The Box 
    • PentesterLab 
    • Additional telecoms specific resources and bespoke training
