About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a meticulous and technically focused Laboratory Technician to join and support our operations within the Dimensional Metrology group based at NPL in Teddington

This is an entry-level position ideal for someone starting their career in a technical environment. The role involves handling precision instruments under supervision, following established procedures to carry out basic dimensional checks, and recording results accurately. You’ll be involved in maintaining calibration records, helping with equipment setup, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity and traceability of measurement results.
What you’ll be doing:

Maintain calibration records

Help with equipment setup

Set up experiments, preparing samples, and conducting tests under standard operating procedures according to direction.

Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Work well in a team of scientists follow instructions carefully

Willing to learn within a well-structured laboratory setting
