NPL is tasked with developing and maintaining the UK’s national primary measurement standards: time, distance, mass, temperature and many more. Our focus is real world impact – we apply advanced science and engineering to boost the UK’s prosperity and quality of life.
Our work is crucial to accelerating research, development and testing for new products and processes – from antibiotics and cancer treatments to un-hackable quantum communications and superfast 5G. It’s an exciting time to join us as we are opening new facilities, diversifying our projects and transforming the way we work.
Every year NPL runs around 160 high impact events of many kinds to promote our work, products and services and engage diverse audiences, customers and stakeholders.
Based within our Marketing and Communications team, you’ll work closely with colleagues across many functions to support the delivery of large corporate events and exhibitions for up to 800 people.
You will be involved through the full life cycle of events from identifying venues, and arranging logistics to the set up of stands and exhibitions, including AV and remote viewing.
You will be a key point of liaison with stakeholders, customers, suppliers and exhibitors to ensure delivery runs smoothly.
Throughout the planning and preparation process, you will assess event goals and provide professional advice and expertise to continually optimise end delivery. You will then analyse and follow up event feedback including recommending future improvements.
