  • About the Role

  • We have an exciting opportunity to join our Partnerships Directorate at NPL as a Partnerships Operational Leader. The Partnerships Directorate is the area of the business responsible for all establishing strong partnerships and developing opportunities that address National Challenges in collaboration with Government, academia, research institutions and industry. As the Partnerships Operational Leader you will work side-by-side with the Partnerships Director to manage and co-ordination the operational activities and the strategic evolution of the Directorate.

    • Communication: A confident communicator with concern for ensuring the Director is professionally supported in all external engagements to maximise positive outcomes.
    • Collaboration: work with Directorate on a range of business activities to support and contribute to decision-making, strategy development and organisation.
    • Planning: Supporting effective management of operational activities through good planning, anticipating future challenges and opportunities is crucial

    Desirable Skills

    • Change Agent: Visible ownership, clear and consistent communication (both speaking and listening) and a focus on benefits realisation and more efficient operations.
    • Problem Solving: In the face of a crisis or unforeseen circumstance, the ability to calmly analyse the situation and come up with a practical solution.
    • Relationship building: nurture collaborative and cooperative working relationships across NPL. Act as a bridge between the organisation and its stakeholders when required.
    • Empathy: Understand the views of others and helping facilitate meaningful and effective communication across the teams you work with.
    • Analytical: ability to collate, interpret and summarise data and reports from multiple sources.
